Pink injured during concert; teens swarm "Idol" auditions; R.E.M and Amy Winehouse drop new album hints

Pink gets her trapeze on at the 2009 VMAs

By Aaron Leitko

-Pop-starlet Pink was injured Thursday night after tumbling out of her harness and falling into a steel barrier during a concert in Nuremberg, Germany. The singer was promptly rushed to the hospital, but according to her Twitter, she's okay. That's gotta hurt, though.

-Is "American Idol" still worth getting excited about now that Simon Cowell has left the fold? Well, 10,000 Nashville teens are apparently still believers.

-R.E.M. has finished recording its new record, a follow-up to 2008's "Accelerate" at a studio in Berlin. It'll come out Spring 2011-ish. Speaking of follow-ups, Amy Winehouse mentioned that she'll be finished with a new record -- her first since 2006 mega-seller "Back to Black" -- within six months. But when it will really come out is anybody's guess.
