At this point, it's safe to say that the summer concert season is a wash. But with summer almost halfway over, the Season Of The Blockbuster Album still has some life left in it.
So far, it's been a summer of predictable smashes (Eminem's "Recovery," anything by Justin Bieber), and unexpected misses (MIA's much-chronicled "Maya," Christina Aguilera's "Bionic"). And while you'll have to wait until after Labor Day for much-anticipated discs from Kanye West, Kenny Chesney, Jamey Johnson and Brandon Flowers, summer still has a few potential success stories up its sleeve.
