Kanye releases "Power" remix; Jumpers at Phish and Swell Season shows; Sufjan Stevens releases new EP
By David Malitz
It's a busy news day, so here's a second update.
- Kanye West wasn't in this morning's first batch of news, a rarity of late. So here he is, with his just-released "Power" remix, featuring Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz. Make no mistake, though - it's Kanye who owns the track. Jeff Gordon references over Snap's "I Got the Power"? Yes, please. Listen above or download here.
- Most horrifying concert trend of the year? Jumpers at two recent shows. A fan is in critical-but-stable condition after falling 25 feet at a recent Phish concert in New York. And a man committed suicide by jumping from a roof onto the stage at last night's Swell Season show in San Francisco.
- Sufjan Stevens has upped the orchestral ante on an out-of-nowhere new EP, just release this morning.
