Caption Contest: Bill Belichick

Oh, the captioning possibilities are just endless with this photo of Patriots Coach Bill Belichick and his lil' cheaters. Keep it clean, folks.

Lindsay, when did this "keep it clean" rule come into play? If that's the case, I'm going to have to sit this one out...

While I have you on your back with your legs in the air like that, let me tell you about a new place I'd like to hide a camera.

"OK, now no crossing your fingers; I want you to promise no more video taping our opponents".

Guys! Do you like my new 007 video gadget on my finger?

Player; "Coach, what's with the new stretches?"

Bellichick; "My wife's yoga workout was in the sleeve labelled, 'Giants' Super Bowl Walkthrough."

Player; "That explains a lot, Coach."

Don't worry you won't even feel the camera go in.

They say that if I wear this thing 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week, that my man-boobs will be gone by swimsuit season.

Is that a video-camera with a telephoto lense in your gym shorts or are you just happy to see me?

LOL....this is what fans of losing teams do! They rip the teams they can't beat.
Thanks....ROFLMAO

Lindey, I don't know who you are, but if you want a future in REAL media, you'll move on from this gig.

please stop... for everyone's sake....

Posted by: this "blog" is an abomination | May 16, 2008 4:02 PM

So, according to time/dates of previous posts you manage to put up one of these posts a day, Lindsay. And this is what you came up with today?!?! Not local, not clever, and a picture that is not even vaguely interesting. And what does the winner get? Isn't that what makes something a "contest"? This is the second time I clicked over to your blog from the main Post sports section. It is also the last.... Terrible.

Hey Moron,

"Fans of losing teams?"

Buddy, the Redskins were 9-7. It may take you a while and you may have to take off your socks, but I'm sure if you concentrate hard enough you'll realize that 9 is more than 7, thus making the Redskins a winning team.

Also, I don't think "Lindey" should be taking journalism career advice from someone who resorts to terms like "LOL" and "ROFLMAO" to get his/her point across.

Hail to the Redskins!!!! (and hail to Crowd Noise)

Posted by: Hey caphcky | May 16, 2008 4:16 PM

First two SuperBowl runs, 5 of 6 at home, by an average point margin of 4.8 at the cost of an NFL intern.

Charlie Weis proving his true mettle at Norte Dame University, 3-9 under his own recruited players -$0

Advantage towards building a juggernaut through a mystique of "winning the close ones" - priceless

Posted by: coolhomey | May 16, 2008 4:40 PM

Nope. I'm looking and I'm still telling you that I can't pick Matt out of a lineup.

ROFLMAO, Fans of losing teams call posters names when they don't agree (what are you 12?)

Did 9-7 constitute a winning season for you? Its above .500 I agree, but the Skins were never considered a threat for the SB. Remember one of those in the 7 column was a 45 point loss to the team you're so jealous of.

"Also, I don't think "Lindey" should be taking journalism career advice from someone who resorts to terms like "LOL" and "ROFLMAO" to get his/her point across".

LOL, there ya go THINKING again!

Yes, that's a videotape in my pocket, and yes, I'm happy to see you.

"...so basically Goodell destroyed the tapes because they were of him singing show tunes in drag. Long story short, not only are we still taping opponents, but Roger knows and can't do a damn thing about it. Hell, I even milked him for this whistle. It's nice, right?"

Cardinal Belichick blesses his subjects from on high.

O.K., let's try it again. And a one, two three, four...

I am the monarch of the sea,
The ruler of the Pats' Navee,
Whose praise New England loudly chants.

(And we are his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!)

[And we are his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!]

When at anchor here I ride,
My man-boobs swell with pride,
And I snap my fingers at a foeman's taunts.

(And so do his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!)

[And so do his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!]

But when the breezes blow,
I generally go below,
And seek the seclusion that a hoodie grants.

(And so do his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!)

[And so do his sisters, and his cousins, and his aunts!]

[His sisters and his cousins, Whom he reckons up by dozens, And his aunts!]

So what do you mean the Redskins were never "considered" a threat. They made the playoffs. Who cares if the media, fans or anyone else "considers" a team a threat?

Is that what Pats fans care about? That they're considered a threat going into the playoffs?

In that case, you're probably on cloud nine. Sure you lost the game, but the guys on ESPN picked you to win, so who cares, right??

The Redskins had a shot at the super bowl. They blew it, but they still did have a winning season and make the playoffs.

And why would we be jealous of the Patriots? I agree that our standards are a bit lower than the Pats' but not to the point where we're jealous of a team that LOST in the Super Bowl (I was cheering my ass off for the Pats though, because I can't stand the Giants).

"Who cares if the media, fans or anyone else "considers" a team a threat"?

Are you questioning? You are rather confused little one aren't ya.

"And why would we be jealous of the Patriots? I agree that our standards are a bit lower than the Pats' but not to the point where we're jealous of a team that LOST in the Super Bowl"

With all these questions, you don't have an opinion, and you sound ALOT like Matt Walsh

LOL

Now now, girls. You're both pretty.

Posted by: Lindsay Applebaum | May 17, 2008 11:22 PM

Wow. You really need to learn how to put an argument together, capchky.

I have questions that you can't answer.

Does it matter if a team is "Considered" a threat to win a game, division or championship?

As long as the team earns its shot, does it matter what the media thinks?

I want you to answer that because it seems that's your basis for calling the Redskins a "losing team" even though they had a winning season and made the playoffs.

And answer the other one while you're at it:

Why would we be jealous of a team that didn't win the Super Bowl?

Stop bragging like the Pats won the Super Bowl. No one is jealous of #2.

Posted by: Anonymous | May 19, 2008 12:33 PM

"Does it matter if a team is "Considered" a threat to win a game, division or championship"?

Specifically, the Pats beat the Redskins by 45. They were no threat.

"As long as the team earns its shot, does it matter what the media thinks"?

I don't care what the media thinks no matter what. Point is here in THIS subject area, if this happened to the Saints, it wouldn't be an issue. Since it was the 18-1 Patriots....the media plays it up.

"Why would we be jealous of a team that didn't win the Super Bowl"?

I don't understand why your jealous either....

"Stop bragging like the Pats won the Super Bowl. No one is jealous of #2".

I never bragged. I stated FACTS and enjoyed all the whining about this issue from the time it was announced and now that we find that its NOTHING.
ROFLMAO

For the record Capchky, I am totally with you on the spygate thing. None of those captions were mine.

I think Arlen Specter and Matt Walsh are both sour at the Patriots for one reason or another.

I also think it's pathetic that people raised such a stink about the whole thing. They filmed something they weren't supposed to, and they got punished. It's over.

Fans/Media just like to feel like they uncovered some huge scandal.

But I still don't think that my fellow Redskins fans in this caption contest were trying to make the Patriots look like cheaters.

I think they were just trying to be funny, and no one is whining about the 52-7 loss.

But the Redskins are not a losing team. They've been to the playoffs two of the last three seasons. Again, the standards aren't as high as the Pats or Colts, but we're not bitter about the spanking the Pats gave us.

My guess is that if the Redskins hadn't played the patriots this year, people would still be making the same captions / jokes about the pats.

ROFLMAO find another website if you want to kiss up to the patriots!
