Roundup: Best of the Week
Looking back on a week of top-notch, borderline offensive comments in sports:
-- On the sad Nats:
Bob L. Head: losing sucks. the offense sucks. i'm thinking of going fully longterm with longterm. i'm even going to type in all lower case letters until i feel better. which will probably be after our next win, because i'm an idiot and single wins and losses actually affect my outlook.
-- On the NBA cracking down on flopping (posted on the Insider):
mark: Call me cynical but is it a coincidence that whenever the integrity of the game comes into question, doesn't another story come out to steal the headline? Why does this flopping story come out the same day that a crucial call is being scrutinized? Are they changing the flopping rule today? Couldn't that story have waited?
-- On Maryland releasing troubled guard Tyree Evans from his letter of intent:
donmac: First Bobby Maze now Evans. . . We can't seem to keep a convict!
-- On videotape something allegations something Walsh something New England something getting sleepy:
Steve: Maybe you should just change your headline. "League probe of non-allegations of non-serious rules infractions by non-credible non-employees who taped their own supervisors and stole material from their own team."
-- On nothing in particular in the Redskins Insider (perhaps better known as the 24-Hour Rave Insider, Name That Tune Insider, Word Association Insider, the Anything but Redskins Insider. . .)
Curzon417: Not much FB news here today. Must be time for a mojito.
Happy Friday.
By the way, don't forget to submit your caption for this photo of Pau Gasol and Manu Ginobili. Winner gets a job writing captions zilch.

On Ginobli and Gasol, no caption, but you've gotta love that Mediterranean passion. Americans are too hard. Or cool.
I guess we're all descended from Northern Europeans over here. Inlcuding the black guys.
