RI Breakfast Buffet: Video Feedback, Jasno Hates Portis, Singalong

I might be overdoing it with the Redskins Insider recap posts. It's almost like wearing a leather jacket with big studs and flames on the back every day: At first it's funky fresh, but then people start wondering if you have anything else to wear.

You know what, though? I like my leather jacket, and the latest Redskins Unrestricted post has produced some real comment gems.

First up, some more feedback for our host, Jason Reid:

SteveD: Jason, Thanks for the info. I enjoy the player/position profiles. It is probably too early for this, but I'd like to hear about who is on the bubble. Blog readers need to keep in mind that this video is not just for blog readers to view.

It's their world, SteveD. We just live in it.

criticism: Jason- Love the information, but I just can't get into the video. Some of us like to follow this blog closely and that includes even when we are at work. Video is not the best thing for me to be watching at work. I just really don't see how the video adds any value unless we are going to see players and coaches in it. Maybe it adds value to your personal career as a broadcaster or something but certainly not to the blog in this current format. If you are going to continue this it would be nice to have a written version as well.

Would you ask Tony Kornheiser to transcribe his Talking Points videos? Yeah, didn't think so. Show some respect, pal.

Justin: Any chance we can get some thoughts on how this year's undrafted crop are doing? I wouldve like to have heard Kerry Brown's name come up here as I see him as being a great pickup for us as an undrafted FA. Good work bro!!

Also, a brilliant idea:

P Diddy: I wonder if I can use iMovie to create a Jason Reid + Obama Girl mashup...

Introducing the Jason Reid Video Mashup Contest. . . Just kidding. Unless you're not. Seriously, send 'em over.

Next up, we have some sort of conspiracy theory involving Jason La Canfora and Redskins running back Clinton Portis:

jm220: Is it me or does it seems JLC has a dislike for CP? I mean it like ever three to four sentences he had something negative to say.

redskirt: I kinda thought the same thing when I was reading the Portis article this morning. It started out as a positive piece about how Portis has turned his work ethic around, but then went back to the laundry list of things people haven't liked about Portis. I guess it all boils down to Jasno's line about abstract art--taking in both the things we love and the things we don't, CP is rather hard to interpret.

Is it even possible to dislike Clinton Portis? I thought he was in that category of Things That Are Impossible to Hate, along with puppies, Gilbert Arenas and Easy Mac.

Finally, the Redskins Insider faithful articulate their love for aforementioned blog in the form of prayer, sung to the tune of Hail to the Redskins.
