Blast from the Past
Every once in a while someone pops up out of context, seemingly out of place. Last Monday, as Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray (D) visited Appletree Early Learning Public Charter School in Columbia Heights, in walked Vince Morris.

He used to serve as spokesman for former Mayor Anthony A. Williams.
Was Morris there for Sen. John F. Kerry (D) for whom he was working as communications director after Williams left office? "No, I'm working for a trade association," he said.
What gives?
One word: Emma.
His 6-year-old daughter went to another Appletree school, and Morris is now on the board of directors. He was lending his support to pre-K legislation that Gray sponsored and the council passed in the Committee of the Whole on March 18.

Wall Street or Main Street.
American financial institutions, the financial barons of Wall Street have again conspired to shortchange, and fill their coffers at the expense of Main Street Americans. Through globalization they are now distressing a large part of the rest of the World. That this should happen will only surprise those who go through their daily life without noticing the shameless manipulative power of this financial aristocracy, the robber barons, who are now pushing and pulling financial leavers to achieve their goals. Maximization of financial and political returns. The stress and distress their actions cause touches no conscience as they seem to have none. The debris they leave in their wake is merely collateral damage. They are a group of individuals, a coterie who hail from a branch of humanity whose self interest nurtured by culture, in the end over rides all. Loud and assertive they proclaim superior morality when there is absence of that virtue. If there is a shadow of constraint these Houdini's will jump over their own shadow and abandon decency, moral restraint, they negate ethical codes. Their Motto is; What ever it takes! Governments have failed to act when unbridled greed and scheming needs to be rained in and controlled.. Baiting sanctions against them are avoided for various reasons, chief of them, an accusation of racist persecution. As long as we are not prepared to call a spade a spade (to hell with political correctness) this coterie of malcontents will continue to declare " greed is good." Sanctions must be applied against those who act against the common good, no stone must be left unturned to make them account for their misdeeds.
The present financial turmoil highlights the offensive fact that by creating this misery for the good folk of America these rouges are now manipulating government institutions to bail them out of a fix and still make money at the expense of taxpayers.
It is now clear they maneuvered themselves into a position where they can apply leverage, to force the government into action to extricate them, or else. We are to big to let us down the gurgler is factored into their "what ever it takes calculation". It is scheming of the highest order. So shares that are quoted $30.00 on Friday afternoon open on the following Monday morning at $ 2.00 as a result of a covert weekend deal brokered by a high profile broker, prompted by the reserve bank. Are the American people to take this laying down and let these rouges walk all over them??
It is now high time Americans take a close look at these financial manipulators. Find out who they are and where their true interests are leading . Their origins, Modus Operandi their affiliation with groups outside the USA. Casual observation reveals the top echelon of these operators are most probably scions of those who engaged in trafficking and smuggling in the border areas the vanished empires of Europe.
Their ancestors the perennial malcontents, agitators, who were instrumental in the demise of Czarist Russia and pushed the advance of bolshevism and International Communism. From Fiddler on the roof to Fiddler on Wall Street is a quantum jump, that is astonishing. Is the next step the destruction of the USA as we know it??
It was said "This tribe has stood at the graveside of all its persecutors." As well as,
"I do not know the method of drawing up an indictment against a whole people."
In the end we must know who we are and repulse those that live and enrich themselves on our body politic like parasites.
