The First Pitch

Marcia Davis

Here comes President Bush to throw out the first pitch. He's wearing the red Nationals jacket. The crowd is cheering, and he actually gets the ball over home plate.

The president's appearance caused long waits in security lines, but by the time that ceremonial pitch was thrown, that didn't seem to matter much. At least judging by the roar of the crowd.
