Gray to Take Communion

Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray (D) said today will be one of his most memorable. Gray, who is Catholic, will take communion directly from the Pope today at mass at Nationals Park.

"It is a momentous occasion, certainly one I will never forget," he told the D.C. Wire.

Didn't the Catholic church endorse slavery? I guess it wasn't a sin until John Paul became Pope and apologized for the church's role in it.
