For Your Viewing Pleasure: Marion Barry

Council member Marion Barry (D-Ward 8) formally launched his reelection campaign Saturday. By Nikita Stewart's account, it was quite a production, complete with prayers and choirs and tributes to the 72-year-old politician. There was even a 45-minute biographical video about the city's mayor-for-life, who is facing an army of challengers for the September 9th election. Here is a condensed version of the video.
