Video Reaction to Supreme Court Ruling

D.C. Wire took this video today of Mayor Fenty, Police Chief Lanier, Attorney General Nickles and Supreme Court advocate Walter Dellinger, who argued the city's position in the handgun case, responding to the high court's decision to overturn the D.C. handgun ban.

Did that guy Nickles just say he would be working to have trigger lock requirements? I wish this guy, who does not live in my city, would stop wasting my tax dollars. This will be shot down (no pun intended).

Handguns were banned in DC and yet criminals still had guns, that work REAL well. This is a win for the residents of DC.

Nickles does not understand that triigers locks requirement were specifically invalidated. They have to allow the gun to be operable , that means no trigger locks requirements. The residents can choose the degree of safe storage rather than be chosen for them. A little bit of freedom for the DC residents

The manditory registration of all handguns will do nothing to prevent crime.

Felons, or ex-felons, are exempt from this requirement under law: Haynes v. U.S. 85 (1968).

SELF-INCRIMINATION - I'm not allowed to possess a gun, so you can't make me tell you that I have one.
