Most definitely, taking care of business in Washington, DC has improved somewhat. But some of the clerical staff, customer service is terrrible, for instance -- Child Support Division, I find them some of the laziest workers ever. I had to find my son father, place of residence and place of work, supena, etc. Now to get more funds, they are not obtaining the correct information, just will through any figures in the computer and have it kick out that you will receive a decrease instead of of increase, after not ever getting an increase. My son is 17 years of age, planning to go to college...How...lack of funds from the other parent and lazy dc government workers.

Obviously the City's Court records of current DC residents needs to be fixed before assuming that citizens are guilty of not doing their civic duty.
I have lived in my current residence for 13 years and still receive Jury Duty letters for the previous residents. Every time I receive them, I put "No longer at this address" on the envelope and send them back to the post office.
I feel it is incumbent upon the City Government to keep the address lists up to date. If someone is no longer registering cars or paying taxes in DC, take them off the list!
Come on people!

Can someone explain to me how it is possible for a supposed Random jury selection process to have resulted in me receiving a summons every two years for the past 15 years of my residency??? Are their records scrambled or what?

Howard, I have had the same experience. I believe they take advantage, unfairly, of people who actually show up. I skipped the last one, for the first time in my life. Maybe I'm now on the list!

when are we going to arrest incompetent government administrators and failed political leadership. There is no one that lives in DC that does not know how inept this system is!
