What You Need to Know, in Fewer Than 200 Words, Friday Morning

Frank Robinson is near tears about his future and begins his farewells (possible replacements here), but Jose Vidro says the decision is "not right" and Thom Loverro says Frank should be kept on in some way. More player reactions, plus fans discuss. Meanwhile the Nats and Phils finish at 2:30 a.m. amid Giant Headed Presidential mayhem, the team re-ups with the Lake Monsters and Baltimore's Daniel Cabrera takes a no-hitter into the ninth as Nats fans watch at RFK.

Brunell's probably in and Springs is out, Portis shelves the dress-up routine, to the world's dismay. Casey Rabach will square off with his cousin, the Skins struggle with special teams penalties, and the Jags (America's least favorite NFL team) haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 12 games. Their kicker is struggling and their RB is growing a mohawk. More on Leftwich's return to D.C. (and yet more), plus Wilbon.

UVA basketball has recruiting troubles, Virginia Tech O-lineman is an expert on "food and beer," the Hokies are the ACC's last hope, Navy will have the biggest block of visiting fans in Rentschler Field history, a Maryland student says last week's crowd was an embarrassment and the Brits obsess over Freddy.

Freddymania is funny - he's not even in the top 3 most talented players on United. For me, they are Gomez, Moreno and based on his wicked knuckler, that hit Meola like a bill from Domino's and Dunkin Donuts, Donnet.

What college student isn't an expert on food and beer? Or at least beer?

Someone whould ask McGrath if he's tried smoked gouda on his burgers or if he has a favorite cheese.
