A Washington Capitals Poem
Not quite sure how I forgot to post this yesterday. And, D.C. Sports Chick, many apologies if you've already posted this on your blog. Anyhow, here's the text of a Caps practice facility promotional poster that stands sentry next to a Ballston Common elevator:
Don't be blue,
The rumors are true.
The time is near,
It's finally here.
Won't it be great,
When all Arlingtonians can skate.
Sign up now,
So you'll know how.
I've read it six or seven times, and I have this funny sense that one line of the poem is slightly longer than the rest, but I just can't figure out which one.

Actually, I did- I wrote about it in July... :-P
Hey, I gave you credit for being there yesterday and giving the rest of us valuable information! Doesn't that count for anything?

Best. Blog. Ever.
Dan, to continue this whole poetry theme, I say that you hold some sort of Sports Bog Haiku contest. Limit the subject matter local sports teams. Maybe the winner gets to their very own horse-killing liquor death thingie. That would be cool.
