Gil Dunking
Slow day, but local poll coming later.
In the meantime, Gilbert dunks off a trampoline on The 700 Level. FS, if you have video of Ovechkin dunking off a trampoline, bring it on.

I'm pretty sure Ovy has a standard "No-trampolines" clause in his contract, but this guy knocks the socks off of Arenas.

Lets keep Ovy off the circus equipment and on the ice where he belongs.
If "The Black Hole" wants the title of MFP, he's welcome to it. Maybe Abe can put up a banner for Gilbert....he hangs one for everything else (Mystics attendance - EYE ROLL)

***ATTENTION***
Very soon and in some way there will be some kind of announcement about something on this thread.
Heh heh.
I mean, I'm gonna do a free ticket giveaway bog prize thing for Thursday's game, unless someone tells me not to.
So it's 2 good lower-level tickets to Thursday's game, with the context to start tomorrow and conclude by 3 on Wednesday.
Oh, and unless it's not entirely clear, by "Thursday's game" I mean the Wizards! Caps fans of course are welcome to participate and even win, so they can't feel excluded. (Who knew hockey fans were so emotionally needy, huh? LOL.)

Hi Caphcky!

The last time I went to a Wizards game, I was so bored I left in the third quarter. My friend wanted to leave earlier, but I made us stick around in hopes things would get better.

Nancy, don't worry, if there's too many haters and no real fans want the tickets, I'll be happy to step in :)

Gack, and don't you worried. You've got chits in with me so, as the sole judge, I'm perfectly willing to be biased!
I'm gonna announce the contest tomorrow morning.
It's for Thursday's game.

OK, Gil, loved seeing you at the all-star game, now its time to get back to work. Need to win a few...

While watching the All-Star game and the three point contest you could tell Gil was there having fun. The highlight of the All-Star game for me was when they came back from commercial and were talking about the front office of the Wizards panicking after Gil did the trampoline dunk. Gotta love the Wiz and the Coach that doesn't feel he belongs. If only they would change the name back to Bullets....

Congrats on the tv gig!

Can someone explain Gil's two palms up thing he was doing whenever he was introduced to the crowd during the allstar break? I only saw it twice, but I'll bet he did that about a hundred times over the weekend.

Gil = entertainer supreme with cheese

StubHub is mad that Nancy won't give them the tickets.
Lower level is dangerous for Thursday. Artest is coming to town ...
Posted by: BoB | February 19, 2007 06:06 PM
LOL, BoB -- good point. And yet, these are "lower section" -- did I say lower level? Well, row "S" in the 100 series. High up in the lower level. So it will be a Very Exciting fight night if the commotion carries up that far . . . .
What's more likely is perhaps Gilbert will help out G-Man during a full-time out!

Hd, you ask what Gil was doing when introduced.
You mean when he had his palms up, his elbows bent, and he was moving his hands back and forth in front of his waist?
Um, that was the Hibachi heating up.
It's like Caron says -- Gil really can't cook. When the Hibachi is heating up, and you're checking out the heat, you'd think you'd be moving your hands over the Hibachi to test the heat flow with your palms facing downward.
But that kinda thinking is just for us members of the middle class that cook our own food!

Gee...a guy performing a gimmick in an exhibition that will be forgotten by halftime of the next Wizards game . . . meanwhile, all one has to do is mention "The Goal" -- more than a year after it was scored -- and folks still know what you're talking about. I wonder, does Gilbert skate?

So what you are saying is this is more impressive than scoring a goal while on your back on the ice after being tackled?
