do GW fans still like Jarvis? or do they blame him for indirectly ushering in the Penders era?

and way to go out on a limb there Mike. every "mid-major" team you chose as a Sweet 16 contender has been in the top 25 most of the year (top 15 in the case of Butler, Air Force and Nevada) with the exception of Xavier who just beat your old team by 29 points on the road. you couldn't reach for a Missouri State or an ODU or even a Davidson?

new sonnet up! sadly not about sports, but about winter:

* * *
"A Winter's Tale"

Upon our District, prosperous and proud.
Did Winter's icy touch this week alight--
The bread and milk grew scarce, the forecasts loud
And shrill--and citizens did scurry at the sight
Of snowflakes, scarcely seen in these warm climes,
But seen enough for some of us to know
To keep our cool. We kept away from lines
At Giant, Safeway, CVS. The snow
Was less a hazard than the slipp'ry ice,
Which unexpected holidays did give
To schoolkids and to feds--and we thought twice
Of driving in the slush. Yes, we who live
The winter in and winter out don't fuss:
We cleared our cars, or else we took the bus.

Glad my kids didn't have to be brought up in the DC/MD/VA schools. THEY CLOSE SCHOOL FOR EVERYTHING. Do miss the entertainment in watching a redneck drive in snow tho....
