Baby Bog!

Hello, friends of Bog. We have HUGE breaking news: Annys & Dan's baby, Ida Sophia Steinberg, was born at 2:58 a.m. this morning, weighing in at 5 pounds 13 ounces. (Who won the pool?)

Anyway, while Dan takes a little while to learn to be a father (this shouldn't take more than four or five years), our college hoops crew will attempt to fill the void during the madness that is March. With many members of the famed Atlantic-11 showing so much promise this much, we should at least be topical, if not nearly as witty as the Bog-Man himself.

It might take us a day to get really up and rolling, but please continue to check in and discuss amongst yourselves. Over the next few days, we'll really get rolling (and you'll REALLY be wishing for Dan to come back). In the meantime, Bog On!

Congratulations Dan. May the skills you have learned about appreciating the absurd minutiae of life serve you well in fatherhood. Seems like they darn well should.

Congratulations, Steinbergs! Dan, we'll be eagerly anticipating your return to the Bog, but in the meantime good luck and have fun with your new munchkin. :)

Super duper news. Congrats Steinbergs.

But man I really wanted Dan's reaction to James Lang being let go.

Seriously the Bog has some bad karma if you're featured (unless you're gilbert) you end up released or traded.

Posted by: Marc aka MDG | March 1, 2007 12:12 PM

Mazel tov.

Posted by: Brian | March 1, 2007 12:15 PM

I see the Sports Bog plot to take over the world via our offspring is processding nicely.

Congradulations to the Steinbergs BTW. Should we expect to hear from Dan in about 3 years? I'm taking the over.

Posted by: Chest Rockwell | March 1, 2007 01:38 PM

Congratulations Dan!

I'm sure you'll be getting lots of parenting advice, but I think you should listen to this 19-year old who suggests you listen to Chris Rock: as a father, your only real obligation is to keep her off the pole.

Enjoy what I'm sure is the best day of your life.

Posted by: Andrew Alberg | March 1, 2007 01:45 PM

Mazel Tov!

She'll be hooked on Daddy Bog on TV soon enough!

Rejoice, ye Sports Bog readers, one and all!
Our Bogger Dan a Father has become!
Rejoice, and pray he has the wherewithal
To weather long and sleepless nights to come!

Rejoice, ye Sports Bog readers, and be glad
For Annys, who till now has borne alone
Her precious mother's burden, now has Dad
To share her labors and her loves, at home!

Rejoice, ye Sports Bog readers, near and far,
For Baby Ida, newly come to light!
May she grow happy, healthy, never far
Away from Dad or Mother's loving sight!

Rejoice! And, gentle readers, let us pray,
That Holy Wisdom bless them all each day.
