Sports Illustrated? Please Explain

This is not about college basketball.

I feel like I owe the D.C. Sports Blog a public apology. See, on Comcast SportsyNet's "Washington Post Live" last week, the powers-that-be-powerful showed a screen shot of Sports Illustrated's Washington Nationals preview page, which links to the mag's four favorite Nats blogs. One of them was the D.C. Sports Blog. The CSN people assumed it was a typo and gave me public credit for the D.C. Sports Blog's SI success. So did William F. Yurasko. I, instead, suggested, on live TV, that Chris Needham's Capitol Punishment was clearly, without question, the No. 1 Nats blog, because I believe that to be true. Well, that and Svrluga's blog, which may or may not continue in some form once Spring ends. There are many many more fine Nats blogs; more, I'd say, than concerning any other local sports team. (And props to JDLand for the great new ballpark pics.)

The other SI choices, incidentally, were the deserving Ball-Wonk (which was happily described as "Baseball Wonk") and the deserving Federal Baseball, although many more are also deserving. Frankly, neither I nor the D.C. Sports Blog deserve to be listed in the top 10 or maybe 20 of Nats blogs. All I write about concerning the Nats is Nook Logan, and the D.C. Sports Blog is more about the Bullets, as far as I can tell. But still, D.C. Sports Blog, I'm sorry and CSN is sorry, and Chris, congrats on your pending victory.

I think DC Sports Blog owes Steinz an apology for monkeying the name of his site.

WaPo live is already admitting erronious information.

We are now Legit!

I love WaPo Live

Although I appreciate his effort, Chris Needham is often opinionated and cranky, and therefore not as entertaining as the consistently amusing and clever Ball-Wonk.

Seriously, what the hell is the DC Sports Blog? This is the "Bog" is it not?

No disrespect, Ball Wonk. I love you too. I voted for you 733 times, and Needham 734 times.
