Wow

Not to intrude again on the college basketball talk, but here's a Blog Poll:

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate Friday night's debut of Blog Show on Washington Post Live, featuring choking dog Dan Steinberg as one host, the non-speech-encumbered Jamie Mottram of Mister Irrelevant as another host, and Brian Powell of Awful Announcing as the special guest:

1) 1

2) 1

3) 1, although I especially liked the parts where the YouTube videos froze, twice, and then Steinberg froze, twice, and then he started babbling incoherently, although I did appreciate the Tony Kornheiser shirt he was wearing, plus Mottram's "Frerotte is Fr'Real" t-shirt.

4) What's Washington Post Live?

5) I can't read this, because my eyes are still bleeding.

6) Other

C'mon, what other show is going to discuss Greg Paulus' "banging quota?"

Posted by: Jamie Mottram | March 23, 2007 10:11 PM

Other.

Any chance the Blog Show could be YouTubed?

Posted by: Run Up The Score | March 24, 2007 12:52 AM

I think the best part may have been the sportsdesk guy not being able to react when asked what he thought of the segment. That made it worth it in my book

Actually, my Comcast cable stopped broadcasting Comcast Sportsnet at when Russ Thaler was informing the audience that Blog TV was coming up next. You guys might want to tell someone on the Comcast half of the equation to improve their service from "diabolical" to merely "awful".

On the other hand, it sounds like you might see this as good news.

Dan Steinberg's voice is like nails on the chalkboard. Yikes. The blogging segment was funny. Liked the guy breaking down his internet poll that got a whopping 300 responses.

you gotta pre load those youtube clips.... and didn't cstv say that Billy Packer was joking in that clip?

Bog TV is like a little baby deer just learning to walk. It gets up stumbles and funbles a little as it gets it's footing then BAM! Someone shoots its mother and it's left all alone in the forest with nothing but a freaking rabbit to support it. Then BAM! rabbit and venison stew.

As a non-DC fan of the Bog, I DEMAND the YouTubization of this show. Or national syndica-HA HA HA HA HA! Whew. Almost got through that joke with a straight face.

Not bad at all.

Necessary: Firefox. 13 individual distinct IE windows (at the top of the WPL show) makes baby Jesus cry.

A propos nothing,

I just had my nominee selected for the Name of the Year 2007/2008 tournament: Slovenian swimmer Peter Mankoc.

So remember, in '08, vote Mankoc.

Apparently, lots of people are telling Bog to get with the program and get Firefox.

t-shirt: COOL.

Missed the show (um, this is Washington, no one's home that early), but the IDEA of you wearing the t-shirt is TOTALLY COOL.

No offense, but I'm pretty sure 300 people is more than Comcast.com gets to vote on their polls.

We're blogs....not Gallup.

The Blog Show was everything I dreamed it would be. Add a couple dashes of Terry Davis and you've got a hit on your hands.

Posted by: Lamont Trellington | March 26, 2007 1:12 PM

you can't spell "rough" without "ugh". No worries though Steinz, Seinfeld almost didn't make it past the pilot.

Saw rerun of show later yesterday (Monday night). Thoughts:

1. Love the DeShawn wave at the end.

2. You have an amusing and interesting voice, but you speak too softly. *Project.*

The Mr. Tony shirt was utterly FANTASTIC. Bog show pwns.
