The Larry Hughes Party Train

While I was reporting on Larry Hughes's headband and handshake habits, other bloggers were uncovering more serious business: Larry Hughes is hosting parties in D.C. This weekend. Like, two parties. During the playoffs.

The meaning of this information is yet unclear to me. Roger Mason was "hosting" a party at Fly nightclub last week, but when I asked him about it he said his buddies put the party on and he wasn't even there. So maybe that's what these parties are like. Or maybe they're a pre-planned celebration of a presumed 3-0 lead. Or maybe Larry figures he'll be a big peckish after the game Saturday night, and will want to nosh at H2O. And that he'll be hungry on Sunday, too, and will get finger food at Platinum.

Anyhow, thanks to Deuce of Davenport for finding the info, and here are the particulars, based on the ads. Saturday night, H2O, co-hosted with Gilbert Arenas, a special edition of Soul Food Saturday featuring Fabolous. Sunday night, Platinum, co-hosted with LeBron James, a grown and sexy affair.

Monday night, I'm hoping for a party co-hosted by Scot Pollard at T.G.I. Friday's.
