High School, Streaker, Jock Strap, Click Here

Since our company's new business plan appears to include highlighting stories about high school athletes that seedy low-brow bloggers will just love, I figure it's incumbent upon me to mention the case of one Cameron Blazevich, the high school junior and well-regarded athlete from Arizona whose jock-strap-only streaking sprint at the Catalina Foothills graduation earned the following shocked prose from the Arizona Daily Star:

As of Tuesday afternoon, the 84-second video of Cameron Blazevich running across the football field wearing just a jock strap and sneakers had received more than 2,600 hits.

Blazevich, 17, took off from a bathroom on the southeast corner of the football field and ran past the graduating seniors toward the north end zone. After temporarily eluding Pima County Sheriff's deputies, he was nabbed trying to climb over a fence.

Just following the business plan here. (Jonathan Alcorn for The Washington Post)

A) Nabbed by his AD, for the record.
B) Although he put a killer move on some sort of official before they reached the fence. Could almost say he made the dude lose his jock.
C) More than 2,600? Ha. Check back at the end of the day, Mr. Arizona Daily Star reporter. See, that thing was on Bad Jocks this AM, and is now poised to enter the seedy underbelly of youth-corrupting blogworld.

I will say that the graduating seniors seemed mightily pleased by the stunt. So did a portion of the authorities, although the story says he might be forced to transfer:

His mom, Tina Blazevich, said the Sheriff's deputy who called to have her come pick up her son was laughing. She said she had a similar reaction to the event, which she knew her son was planning.

"I was expecting it," Tina Blazevich said. "It was a prank, and I knew he needed to get it out of his system."

Tina Blazevich said she punished her son by making him "do some things for me that he normally wouldn't have done" last weekend, though she would not elaborate. She also said she allowed her son to go with friends to see the premiere of the new "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie after returning home from the detention center after Cameron justified his actions.

Mom: Cameron, why did you do that?
Cameron: I'm working on my time in the 40. Plus, I thought I would be faster than our AD, and that I'd be able to jump over the fence before he grabbed me and scraped my belly, so then I'd be home free, out in the woods with just my jock strap on.
Mom: Ok, enjoy the movie.

YouTube embedding is disabled, but obviously you'll go watch this. And thanks to Recruiting Insider.
