Pat White Has Two Hearts

Now with an extra organ! Meanwhile, LenDale White is playing with two stomachs. (Getty Images)

Everybody let's get one thing clear;
'08, that's the year of the 'Eer, let's get it going.

And with that, a new college football season is joined.

I'm hopelessly late on this story, but luckily my Post colleague and unstoppable West Virginia blogger Frank Ahrens has filled my metaphorical void. Last year, I wrote about West Virginia rapper 6'6 240, aka the Trailer Park Hustla, whose Mountaineers anthem "Gold N Blue" became a cult sensation among fans and WVU players, a process 6'6 found to be "bananas." (In the interest of giving credit where credit is due, I was originally turned onto 6'6 by a local sports personality, known in these parts as "6'1 180.")

Well, "The 2008 Gold N Blue" is out, and it's fresher than a charred-fabric Mo-town breeze.

Used to think we was good but we know it now;
And so does everybody else when they come to Mo-town,
Where the weather's still cold and all the tickets are sold
Now everybody knows about the Blue N tha Gold

6'6 has a new MySpace page, which is worth a look but maybe not at work. I guess I should have known Morgantown was called Mo-town, but I'm not sure I did. Also, I should mention that The Post is running an Ask the Readers thingee where you're supposed to offer suggestions for how to replace the stale celebratory tactic of couch burning. My own suggestion: air mattress burning. Much easier on the back.

Yep, that's right.
Still got Pat White
And you know what he's like,
You done see the highlights.
He's a two-way threat with his arm and his jets
Play hard like he got two hearts in his chest.

Awesome.

Mountaineers should be grateful BC, Miami, and the Orange N Maroon left the conference.

For anyone that has ever visited...Morganhole is most appropriate.

Sports Illustrated.com (9.28.04) picked Morgantown as the 10th Best College Football Weekend (Tennessee #1, Notre Dane #5). WV is 23-21-2 against Maryland. This is a great series that always gets settled on the field. Just because your team lost the last time you were in Morgantown doesn't make it a hole.
