Watch Blog Show

After 22 episodes of Blog Show, I finally worked up the courage to watch an episode beginning to end. Yes, that's right, this is the first time I've ever watched this groundbreaking television series myself. Why? Well, because Jamie Mottram and I cut a rug or two in the episode, and I just couldn't resist seeing how it turned out. Frankly, I thought our coordination was a little lacking. But it was a nice effort nonetheless.

Blog Show is on around 5:30 pm every Tuesday as part of Washington Post Live, which airs from 5 to 6 pm ET, Monday through Friday. You can also catch Blog Show around 11:30 pm as part of the daily replay of Washington Post Live, which begins at 11 pm ET. Blog Show can be seen in the Washington DC/Baltimore area on Comcast Sportsnet. It can also been seen on DirectTV channel 629 across the United States and Canada. (Cha-ching!)

This week's episode features shout-outs to such made-for-television sites as The Big Lead, With Leather, Larry Brown Sports, Da Wizard of Odds and 100 Percent Injury Rate. Enjoy, and if anyone needs dance leaders for upcoming weddings or Bar Mitzvahs, yes, we're available. (Jamie's take on the matter is here.)

1. Your shirt is lovely.

2. Real Americans are simultaneously lamenting Jay Gibbons steroid allegations.

3. Did Tina Turner work with you dudes on those moves?

The sirts are okay but they look as if they are leftovers from a soccer jersey store.
I remember when DC 101's "Elliot in the Morning Show" had a similar contest back in 2000 or so for tickets (Metallica, I believe it was). Contestants had to dip themselves in a Port-o-John filled with Elliot and his crew's fecal matter. Most did fine until the winner took it to another level: jumping in and even dunking his head in the crap. Yeesh. I thought Elliot and his lovely-sounding female co-host were going to vomit on the air, right then and there, amid all the laughter and hysteria. Classic.
