Fans Give Underwear to the Wiz

What a great headline Kevin Broom wrote for his tale of Gilbert's antics at the Mavs-Wiz preseason game. I'll just post one tiny highlight; go read the rest.

Gilbert Arenas played in the first half, but was sitting in the second half, keeping busy by untying teammates shoes and other assorted pranks. During a stoppage in play, Arenas was casually scanning the crowd when Jimmy caught his eye. By flashing the box to the Halo 3 game.

When Gilbert saw what it was, he lit up in a huge grin. He flashed three fingers at Jimmy -- asking if it was Halo 3. Jimmy gave him "thumbs up" from across the court. Then he pointed at Gilbert, took out a Sharpie and pretended to sign the box. Gil nodded in response mouthed something that seemed like "after the game."

Ok, go read the rest. The panties figure in later, as does Oleksiy Pecherov.

Quite possibly, the funniest Gilbert story in his entire tenure in Washington. Helluva find.

I saw OPech at CPK this weekend but my story isn't nearly as funny.

Herman Veal was unable to sign the hundreds of panties thrown at him in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Oh god. That was too funny.

How can anyone not love Gilbert and his wacky fans?
