Penny's Message to Gil

You know how Gilbert collects all those signed NBA jerseys from superstars and 11th men? And how he often says that Penny Hardaway was his favorite all-time player growing up, and how he's still sort of in awe of Penny? Well, the signed Penny jersey arrived last week, with the customized message:
For Gilbert, MVP 08'.
Couldn't read the rest, but glad to know the Gilbert MVP bogwagon has already begun.

After "MVP 08", it reads to me like : #sham it!
If that even means anything to anyone ...

Hmm, exchanging money or things of monetary value for sex -- don't they already have a name for that?
I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal...
