BogBio: Andray Blatche, Not Blooch

Big day for Andray Blatche: his sexual solicitation charges were dropped after he successfully completed John School, and he gets BogBioed. This is one of the top 10 blog-based NBA video interviews in which the subject is playing with his cell phone throughout that you will ever see. Maybe even top 9.

Now, in honor of all of this, let's let the kid play more than eight minutes tonight.

I think I speak for most Wiz fans in saying that we appreciate you using your platform to subtly endorse getting AB some playing time. I don't get EJ's problem - sometimes it seems like he WANTS to lose his job.

EJ reminds me of Gibbs 2.0 - a horrible in game manager.

This team needs a new coach. Even when we win he confounds me.

I think Arenas needs a wake up call from a mentor, a friend, an old coach, and or fellow baller. His shot selection remains questionable, his defense non-existant, and his court vision is blah and he wonders why people call him shoot first pg. He takes offense to that and even claimed that those PGs wish they could play arenas' game. This chip he has on his shoulder is making him look dramatic, he has that "look at me attitude", and he seems to be more concerned with mvp honors and self praise than teamwork and wins. The charm, quirkiness, underdog story(from zero to hero) and famous gym rat work ethic that made him appealing to many is being compromised by his bone headed comments. I am in disbelief that Arenas actually thinks he makes jamison and butler better. Ha give me a break. His ego needs to breathe. He drags down the flow of the offense by over dribbling, he rarely drives and dishes, and he doesn't seem to understand that he can get that long 3 point shot anytime during the shot clock.

Tonight I'll be at the game on "The Hill."

The Hill? It's what the Washington Wizards are calling the upper level. Not such a bad marketing idea -- since in washington "the hill" is an important place.

I'll report back on my fan experience. What follows is a direct cut and past on what the Wizards website says will happen on the hill:

For the 2007-2008 season and beyond, the Washington Wizards will now be referring to the upper level as "The Hill". The Hill will transform the way fans view the game from the upper level at the Verizon Center by adding entertainment, music, t-shirt tosses and their very own giveaways. With a full time Chipotle Fan Patrol roaming throughout The Hill, fans in The Hill will receive all the same benefits that the lower level gets such as t-shirt tosses, Chipotle burritos and much more.

On the concourse of The Hill you will find that there will be more entertainers for everyone from the youngest to the oldest fans. As you walk the concourse you will be mingling with stilt walkers, a DJ, face painters, caricature artists and some of the Wizards very own entertainers. The Wizards are committed to turning The Hill into one of the loudest and most entertaining areas of any arena in the NBA and with the help of G-Wiz, the Wizards Dancers, the Chipotle Fan Patrol and YOU, The Hill is guaranteed to be known as the place to be in Washington DC.

I sat up on "The Hill" for the season opener. We looked down on the main level and saw a stream of burritos launch into the stands. When I looked around "The Hill" I was able to make out one Chipotle stooge throwing one burrito into the crowd. I went home hungry.
