Brandon Lloyd: Sleepy?
Patience, patience, it's been a long time since I've written about B-Lloyd. Grant me one brief entry highlighting three brief points.
1) On Joe Gibbs's Redskins Radio show this week, he revealed that he hopes Lloyd "can become productive for us again." Um, again?
2) On Dan Hellie's NBC Redskins blog, Hellie reports that a "little birdie" tells him that Lloyd did not miss a team meeting, but instead fell asleep during a team meeting. If true, I now sympathize with the guy even more. Tell me you've never fell asleep during a meeting, to say nothing of high school biology class. If you can remain awake for 75 percent of all meetings, I think it should count. Or maybe the Redskins could invest in some Red Bull? I mean, meet the guy halfway here.
3) If you never follow another link from this blog, go watch George Michael ranting about Brandon Lloyd. It's a majestic performance. After shaking his finger at Lloyd and bellowing "I want you to pay attention to me please," Michael instructs Brandon that since he hasn't earned his money, the only way he deserves to stay on this team is if he brings a cool $1 million to practice this week. Lemme quote:
I'm dead serious, you bring one million dollars to Joe Gibbs, you make it out to Redskins Charity, you give the money back that you haven't earned. If you play well the rest of this year, you get the money back....Bring in a million tomorrow, beg Gibbs for forgiveness. If you don't, you don't belong on this team.
Indeed, Brandon Lloyd lugging $1 million cash to Ashburn, made out to "Redskins Charity," would be a great photo-op. Also, I'm confused what you tell the starving kids in New Zealand when B-Lloyd starts taking caffeine pills, stays up during meetings, turns things around and then gets his $1 million back from charity. Also, is it a tax write-off if you give the money to charity but then get it back due to swell NFL performance? Also, did Daniel Snyder steal George Michael's brain during that interview and replace it with a bag of microwave popcorn and two sticks of chewing gum?

I was waiting for SOMEONE to comment on King George's plea. One of the funniest bits on TV in a long while and Buges just sat there stunned. Classic!

I would say that George was red-faced in that clip but it's hard to see through the bronzer. I think senility may be setting in, as I believe George is approaching or in his 70s.

George Michael is a hack (but not as big a one as Larry Michael, that boob), but that was funny. Good stuff.

This means "Gibbs hopes again", not "Blloyd will be productive again."

Finally...someone makes sense...and it ain't steinnerd...G.Michael made a great point. Lloyd hasn't earned any of the money he's been given. B.Lloyd should take some of that $10M bonus and give it to charity, considering he is STEALING that money in the first place.
Stop defending Lloyd. He's the epitome of wasted potential, a thief, and a wanna be rapper/actor. The guy sucks in every facet of what he does...except for smiling prettily into a camera.
