* Portis costume today: Football player. Running back, it would appear. Where's Choo-Choo?

"I'm looking for him," Portis said. "He kept me out of the end zone last week. I'm gonna choke Choo-Choo out when I see him."

Are the costumes gone for good? "Bro, who knows?" Portis said. (How bout the injuries? "Bro, we missing a lot," he said, to a crowd of reporters, or "Bros." "We got a banged up O-line, we got a banged-up everything.")

"Choo-Choo!" said John Eubanks, walking by.

"I'd rather have wins than yards, any day," Portis said, to another question.

* Mike Sellers shaved off the goatee!!! Gone, gone, gone. This morning. Why, Mike, why?

"Time for a change," he said. "You didn't know I'm superstitious? Everybody on the planet knows. [Usually] I make subtle changes; that was drastic. I'm still hurting over the fact that I cut it off. All that time and effort into making it grow...."

* Remember how Fred Smoot dubbed Stephon Heyer the ugliest guy on the team? "He just needs someone to pick on," Heyer said, attempting to take the high road.

* Remember how Jason Campbell advised Antwaan Randle El to find some Miracle Gro for his forehead? "I got something for him," Randle El said. "Believe me." Then he began a very loud rendition of "Hail to the Redskins!" He's got a nice voice, actually.
