This Blog Might Not Come Back

Not the best way to go into Thanksgiving. Jeez. Three months???? Someone call the talking lobster. We'll spend the next few days deciding whether or not to just kill this blog now.
UPDATE: Gil has blogged. There's a lot in there, so you'd better read for yourself. The executive summary goes like this: "I guess it has to get bad so it can get good."

Time for Abe to dig out that pocketbook and pay the damn luxury tax. Carrying only 9 healthy players is the ultimate in cheap ownership.
Are they still passing out Bullets gear too?

See what you get for putting all your eggs in one basket?
Is it time to re-visit Kiwi Curlers?

Who are the team doctors? Why does it seem like the players are re-aggravating serious injuries and being completely misdiagnosed every season? What if Jarvis had been diagnosed properly when he was first injured?

The upside? More minutes for Blatche and Young.

Does this mean that Steinbog is now on suicide watch? Remove all sharp objects and move back from the ledge. LOL.

Steinz has been on a suicide watch since he got the Sports Bog. Paranoia is not new to him.

Are these the darkest days in DC sports history?
Redskins: 5-5, boring to watch, and maddening in that they have played very well (Lions), ground out games against terrible teams (Jets, Dolphins), and have given games away through poor coaching (Eagles) and poor play (Giants).
Wizards: Ended last season with total collapse. Started this season terribly, recovered some, but now lost biggest individual star athlete in the region for 3 months.
United: Choked in playoffs for second straight year, despite being MLS's best team over the season both times; were knocked out of no less than 5 tournaments where a trophy was available; may lose 2 biggest stars in offseason. May be forced to leave the District due to stadium double-cross.
Capitals: After talking about the playoffs, they are the worst team in the NHL; Hanlon just got fired; booing has been commonplace at last 2 home games.
Nationals: Another season where mediocrity might be too nice a word.
