Cashing in on Taylor
If you went to a Redskins game and got a free souvenir towel with Sean Taylor's number yesterday, what, you might be wondering, would be the properly American thing to do? Sell the towel on eBay, of course.
Here's one towel-ticket combo going for more than $50. Here's a similar combo for half-off. As of this writing there are at least 60 Taylor tribute towels for sale on eBay, with the "Buy it Now!' asking prices going well into triple figures.
Bear in mind, the guy is getting buried today. Which means, I guess, that mementos from his funeral won't be on eBay until tonight.

Unfortunately this doesn't surprise me one bit. Mine is going up on the wall.

I have no pithy remarks for that level of selfishness and ignorance.

There were numerous street vendors selling homemade Taylor t-shirts and hats outside the Wizards game on Saturday also.
Classy.

People tried to buy the program my grandmother got at the Rosa Parks funeral so they could sell it. If memory serves me correctly, I think the family ended up making more programs just so people wouldn't be making a profit off of them. Sadly, this doesn't surprise me.
