Etan Speaks
Dan asked that we put this up for him today -- Etan Thomas talks to Dave Zirin of SlamOnline about his recovery from open heart surgery. Among the highlights, he talks about how soon he could return to the Wizards:
I anticipate being fully cleared to practice shortly. I know people usually want definite dates and bottom lines, but everything has to be taken in steps. Now, after I workout with the team for however long the doctors feel is sufficient, then they will re-evaluate me again, running me through every series of tests that they can possibly think of, and clear me to play.
Enjoy your weekend ...

Good to see Etan is getting his health back, but can he please stay retired?

Notice how he refers to the Wizards as "they" instead of "we" or "us"? I really hope he doesn't come back this year. Etan and Zirin together is just bad news.

I have to agree, let etan stay out, their chemistry this year has been amazing, adding him could upset things a bit.

So he's cleared for practice but can we keep him on the bench for political statements and poetry? Thanks

Etan's basketball play > Etan's poetry
And I don't have a particularly high regard for Etan as a basketball player.

It's good to see that Etan has healed well enough that he can continue his rant against reporters.
