Fire Fassel Sites Up and Running

Fans already making strides, without their leader. (By Jonathan Newton -- The Washington Post)

Well, the man hasn't been hired yet, but he's already being fired. I don't care if this is entirely 2000; FireSnyderandFassell.com happens to be a pretty funny domain name, based on the circumstances. The prose is breezy and light:

Dan Snyder is a pathetic man and an even worse owner. The guy has a reputation as being an all around Dbag, he hangs out with Scientologist losers like Tom Cruise, and he even cut down a strip of old growth forest in his back yard because the trees were blocking his view of the Potomac river. The guy is a grade A shmuck, and this combined with his rudimentary football knowledge and meddling personality produced a lethally awful football team owner.

Jeez, talk about raising the ante. That's all tongue-in-cheek, I'm sure. We'll all rally behind JimJimRex, if need be.

Furthermore, FireJimFassel also seems to have been claimed by a Skins fan, and--if I'm not mistaken--a regular Bog reader, but it's kinda light on content right now. Meanwhile, FireJoeGibbsNow is, mercifully, out of business.

More pro-Skins talk after the jump.

From Two in the Box: Vinny Cerrato, the biggest ass-kissing lap dog since Fredo Corleone, has been named Snyder's consigliere...the "Executive Vice President of Football Operations." So that pipe dream of snagging a "real" GM is dead and rotting in a landfill off the NJ Turnpike.

From the new Fire Snyder blog: The news of the pending Fassell hire to be head coach, with Jim Zorn as O-coordinator, and somehow trying to steal Rex Ryan for D-coordinator is the last straw. Snyder is incapable of learning how to be a good owner.

From Kissing Suzy Kolber: Er, probably too profane. Just go read it.

From Mister Irrelevant, re: Grimm: At the very least, he's better than a re-tread, twice-failed ex-Giants [edited], worthless, no good pile of [edited] like Fassel. Yes, that's how I really feel.

From Hog Heaven: If you were worried about team cohesion and continuity you can find both of those concerns checked at the door along with sanity and reason. I sense a long drought coming on.

From Riggo's Rag: So, it is either Fassel or Williams today, or ten more days to bumble our way into Art Shell or Dennis Green.

From Hogs Haven, re: last night's Fasel-not-hired-yet ticker: Does this mean anything? I don't know. But God bless tickers.

From the Curly R: I guess the image basically says it all.

You would think that Fire________.com sites would spend the time when their targets aren't hired, questioning their coaching moves and lobbying for them not to get interviews.

But then, we wouldn't be bloggers, we'd be Redskins Insiders.

My only beef with the site is that he didn't include Cerrato

That site's comments about Snyder are far too kind. And Vinny the puppet is equally as bad. They have been without adult supervision (i.e. Gibbs) for, what, ten days now. And they have totally and completely destroyed what ever stability Gibbs was able to instill. The Redskins are again a laughing stock.

They guy that owns firesnyderandfassel.com was so anxious to get the site up, he didn't even bother to change the text on the other parts of the web site template. Check out their "About" "Writings" and "Announcements" pages.

Nice attention to detail.

Fassel is another broken retread whose last giant team quit on him.... he was mediocre at Utah and look at the fine job that he did in Baltimore. What is going on? the danny will never ever live up to Jack Kent Cooke because Jack found a young assistant with a fire in his belly and picked him out of a group of retreads and rejects to make him a head coach... and Joe Gibbs was a hall of fame coach... and not the joe gibbs redo that we just had. Jack could do that because he had good instincts... the danny is not in that league and unfortunately for us, never will be. The danny looks like he is trying to copy jerry jones.... Well jerry played football and knows football... the danny is a jock sniffer and is the laughing stock of the NFL... why is it that Fassel wasn't hired for any of the other head coaching openings the last three years? Is the danny that much smarter than the other nfl owners?? Let's check his record.... Do you want to check the danny's instincts... just look at the mess that he has made since he took over. I am not even sure that he wants to win... he is making too much money losing. And vinney... interesting that no one has ever tried to hire this idiot away from the danny... he has been here from the beginning and look at the great job he has done. It is time for me to walk away and adopt another team.

This so deliciously horrendous that I can't even enjoy it.

How are you going to fire the owner? Although I have to admit, even though I'm not a Redskin's fan. After everything that's happened the chemistry the team already has should not be tampered with.

That's about it right there.
