The Yoder-Cooley Gift Exchange

Remember that photo I took last week of Chris Cooley delivering his Christmas gift to Redskins Park for fellow tight end Todd Yoder, a gift Cooley admitted he could not identify? Well, I asked Yoder for some help.

"It's a bandrum," he told me. "It's half-banjo, half-drum, so we nicknamed it the bandrum. I'm learning how to play. You know, it's difficult."

Well I can only imagine.

"The best part is, my kids really enjoy it," Yoder continued. "What I do is I play the top part and then I let them hit the drum part. So it's good."

You're wondering what Yoder got for Cooley in his half of the gift exchange? Wonder no more.

"A couple shirts," Yoder said.

Shirts? How can shirts compare with a bandrum?

"Well, they're funny shirts," Yoder said. "One was an Ed Hardy shirt with a naked girl riding a cougar, which is, like, perfect for him. He enjoyed that one."

Well I can only imagine. Here's one vote for Cooley wearing the shirt with the naked girl riding the cougar to Seattle this week.

I never thought of Cooley as much of an Ed Hardy guy.

I've been looking for that thing since I left Heather Hills Elementary for the grassy knolls of Kenmoor Middle School.
