DeShawn Calls Out LeBron Again, and Again

DeShawn, bidding for cult hero status. (By Toni L. Sandys - TWP)

I went on a podcast this week saying I just don't want to go back to Cleveland for Part III of this playoff rivalry, because it's kind of played-out, but now I've officially changed my mind. Also, DeShawn Stevenson has officially gone off his rocker. Here are some people you don't repeatedly call out: Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Kimbo Slice, LeBron James. But DeShawn never got that memo. From the Wiz Insider:

Remember, after Stevenson called James "overrated" following a game between the teams last Thursday, James responded by saying he is above such mess because that would be like his hero, Jay-Z, lowering himself to respond to the rapper, Soulja Boy. So, in one neat quote, James dissed Stevenson and Soulja Boy. Well, Stevenson is embracing the Soulja Boy role.

"I hope we play Cleveland," Stevenson said. "I'm going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron's all on his (shorts) anyway."

Stevenson wasn't done. "And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me."

I mean, it's great for fans, and even greater for reporters, and nirvana for bloggers, but couldn't he start a beef with, say, Sasha Pavlovic instead? Why's it gotta be LeBron? AndWhy, exactly, has DeShawn gone certifiable in recent days? The previous Wiz Insider post has more:

Apparently, James said something about DeShawn to former Cav Drew Gooden, who recently related that information to DeShawn. He didn't appreciate it.

"We're all in the same profession," Stevenson said. "We don't need to talk bad about one another. So, that's how it happened. I was ticked off and that's why I said something to him at tip-off. So, it goes back further than people think."

I asked DeShawn if what James said was basketball-related or personal and he said: "It was both. I won't say what he said. I said something back and we'll leave it at that."

Maybe James, who wears a beard, is jealous of the one Stevenson is growing? Stevenson with a laugh: "I don't know what he's jealous of. He makes more money than me that's for sure."

So let's see, the Wiz are a half-game behind Toronto, but have a game in hand and won the season series with the Raptors. Which means one more win and the current playoff matchups would actually have us all getting on a plane and heading back to northeastern Ohio. This might be the first year of my life I'd look forward more to the NBA playoffs than to day one of the NCAA tourney.

Well, the Cavs used to be Michael Jordan's playoff whipping boys, now we know who LeBron's will be.

Posted by: ScottVanPeltStyle.com | March 20, 2008 9:39 AM

DeShawn hates LeBron so much!!

Posted by: Bobby B | March 20, 2008 9:59 AM

Hug it out, bit*hes.

Posted by: | March 20, 2008 12:24 PM

I, for one, am glad that someone isn't backing down from "King" James.

Posted by: Ric | March 20, 2008 12:40 PM

Tiger=13 majors

MJ=6 titles

LeBron James= Won everywhere except college and the pros.

Win ONE freaking title before we declare LePostal on the same plane as the previous two.

Posted by: Really!!?!?!?! | March 20, 2008 12:48 PM

Who is this DeShawn guy? Without Gilbert the Wizards may as will be the wiz! Good luck with those Canadians!

Posted by: Cav's fan | March 20, 2008 3:58 PM

DeShawn should challenge LBJ to a 3pt shooting contest and record it to Youtube. At least he has a chance to win this one.

Two Words (or is it 3?) : LaBradford Smith

Posted by: erichoya | March 20, 2008 6:06 PM

I dont want to get Georges St.Pierre or Fedor Emilianenko mad. I dont want to get Liddell or Rampage mad. The only people who use Kevin as a symbol are Break.com fanbois who saw too many of those backyard tomato cans.

Butterbean is a tough son of a ..... also.
As well as also being a side show freak.

Posted by: rob enderle | March 20, 2008 9:27 PM

DeShawn needs to learn some respect. I don't think anyone appreciates some amoeba getting his 15 minutes of fame by bashing the best player in the game like a highschool child.

Posted by: Dagomar Degroot | March 20, 2008 10:22 PM

Yeah thats right, Lebron started this whole thing by tellin Drew Gooden stuff but now that it got to Deshawn, Deshawn wanted to stand up to him. Who cares what LEbron thinks cz he ticked off Deshawn and Soulja Boy. So i wouldnt be shocked if we played cleveland and Soulja BOy shared a couple words with Lebron. ANd i dont think they would be very nice. I also hope Lebron does go to the Knicks that way all those f**king cleveland fans can see if the Cavs even make the playoffs next year!

Posted by: deshawn fan | March 21, 2008 2:58 PM

The "LeBron To The Knicks" movement is real:

Posted by: greg | March 21, 2008 3:25 PM

F James, really. I'm not a Wiz fan but I like their players and come on, what has LeBoring really done in the NBA so far? Nothing.

Posted by: Carl | March 23, 2008 8:10 AM

If Lebron is talking trash about D Steve and he calls him out, then he needs to stop talkin out the side of his face. From what I've gathered Deshawn doesn't care who you are or what you did on the court. If he thinks you fake he's gonna call you out. So many people have been rushing to Lebron's aid like his little body guards. :/

Posted by: Marie Kym | March 24, 2008 7:40 PM

For God's sake I love you DeShawn...for the record I am not a Wizard fan, I don't even know DeShawn that well, just know he keeps a nice beard...lebron james or whoever he is shouldn't even be considered as a great player yet alone the best player. Please people watch NBA ok? There is someone named Kobe Bryant. Have you seen lebron play? Only thing he does is play a scheduled game, "im gonna go score, pass and who cares if i win or lose, ill get my dunks, my freak show and get gazillion points..duhh" and how in the world is Kobe criticized for scoring and lebron worshiped? The last time lebron played defense or in that matter basketball like true Greats do was never and he will never do so. He isn't great. AT ALL. Cav's fan, plz before commenting learn about the NBA..cavs haven't won without james, and wizards are 33-28 w/o arenas and 3-5 w/ him

Posted by: nba_fan | March 25, 2008 6:35 PM

DeShawn should be able to stick up for himself if LeBron criticized him. Now I like LeBron but he shouldnt not expect to receive words back.

Posted by: anonymous | March 25, 2008 8:55 PM

DeShawn started it by saying LeBron is overrated...get ur facts straight. ps how many times do the cavs have to kick your a$$ in the playoffs till u realize that u can't beat them

Posted by: | April 12, 2008 1:59 AM

Third times the charm, I encourage the rivalry and hopefully they'll put on a show.

Posted by: | April 15, 2008 11:45 PM

U have got to be kidding me. DeShawn who?!? wut have u done in the NBA so far. Nothing. Who r u to call anyone overrated, let alone LeBron, who has Kicked your butt everytime you see him in the postseason. Real ballers say wut they got to say on the court with their game, not talk noise off it. Stop actin like a punk and man up. u making urself look like a B****

Posted by: RUserious | April 15, 2008 11:53 PM

LEBRON JAMES IS ARGUABLY THE BEST PLAYER IN THE GAME TODAY...ALONG WITH KOBE BRYANT HANDS DOWN! deshawn stevenson is a roleplayer on a solid team... he is not a star player... he is going to cause washington to lose yet another series against the cavs... even though LEBRON is battling back spasms... I have never really seen or hear LEBRON disrepect anyone outside of the game... so whatever deshawn is smoking I hope he has more of it because once this series is over he's going to have ample time to smoke it while kenny, ej, & charles cranks up the boat for the wizards!

Posted by: The Commissioner | April 16, 2008 12:36 AM

"and how in the world is Kobe criticized for scoring and lebron worshiped? " - nba_fan

Hey get this, even if Lebron is scoring, he's got assists too. check this stats:

Lebron. 30pts, 7 assists, 7 rebounds (the only other 2 player who at least accomplish this are Michael Jordan and Oscar Robertson). So, why would you complain Lebron scores when he dishes a lot of assists too? Doesn't make sense. Look at the stats first before you even strat bringing up questions like that.

Posted by: | April 16, 2008 1:29 AM

Cleveland vs Washington III
It's gonna be another good one,
the hype the drama the anticipation.
Mr. Stevenson better bring his 'A' game because for sure LeBron will bring his.

Posted by: Sandman | April 16, 2008 3:30 AM

deshawn should be ready...i want to see if he would really guard lebron james in the playoffs...do you think?...i would really be a bad idea for him...lebron will score on him at will...deshawn started it in a bad way,,he will end up in a bad way too...4-2 cavs will win

Posted by: deshawnsucks | April 16, 2008 1:20 PM

You don't want to get kobe mad- he'll lay a hundred on your *ss. Lebron is just another NBA marketed tool, and the young kids and the media eat it up. I watch the games, and yes he is overrated. He shoots, passes the ball because it is always in his damn hand.

Posted by: relin | April 16, 2008 1:28 PM

I agree with relin here. People always act all impressed when they point out that Lebron is both a scorer and a passer, but in reality it's only because Lebron is possessed with influencing every single play. This was most evident in the all star game, where the big pumped moron forced the MVP title on his sorry ass by more or less demanding the ball on every single play, and I can only laugh by people comparing him and Jordan. That is without a doubt the most insulting thing I've ever heard, and if I were Jordan I would be disgusted by having a player that one-dimensional compared to me.

Posted by: LebronMcGaylord | April 16, 2008 2:15 PM

THE FOLKS THAT POSTED THE LAST TWO COMMENTS U FOLKS ARE BIAS AND DO NOT KNOW BASKETBALL... LEBRON IS THE MOST INFLUENCIAL PALYER ON THE FLOOR MOST TIMES... WHY? BECAUSE HE DEMANDS ATTENTION.. I.E. DOUBLE TEAMS ETC. HOW CAN SOMEONE SAY HE ALWAYS HAS THE BALL... BECAUSE THEY WANT TO WIN... SO YOU GIVE IT TO YOUR BEST PLAYER... KEEP IN MINE IF LEBRON DIDN'T PASS THE BALL HE PROBABLY AVERAGE 35-40PPG SO THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING... IF WASHINGTON DOES NOT DOUBLE TEAM AND DESHAWN GUARDS LEBRON HE WILL GET AT LEAST 35PPG IN THE SERIES POINT BLANK...

Posted by: THE COMMISSIONER | April 16, 2008 3:02 PM

who is that guy how many palys does eddy jordan run thru him.....
when i heard it i said has he been drinking latly

Posted by: mario | April 16, 2008 3:51 PM

I have Deshawn Stevenson back in this 100%. He is a beast for beefin with Lebron... and the Wizards are going to win the series with the Cavs.

Posted by: Jay Man | April 16, 2008 4:00 PM

lebron gets criticized too much and people talk about him why he played that game this way why he passed or he should took over the game.........all that talk and nothing about deshawn steveevvscvhag. it is because lebron is the man of the game. "the leauge will be yours lebron" tim duncan sayed to.

Posted by: mario | April 16, 2008 4:05 PM

love him or hate him, LeBron James will go down as one of most fundamentally sound player who ever wore basketball sneakers.
he is the front runner of his generation. and he is only getting started... scary isnt it? the king will have his crown sooner or later count on it.

Posted by: sandman | April 16, 2008 4:35 PM

gilbert is the back of the wizards are you retarded Cav's Fan? agent 0 has been coming off the bench and DeShawn has taken over his role.. i'd say you have no rite to speak about this topic since you know nothing about the wizards

Posted by: uhh | April 16, 2008 7:08 PM

King Lebron James is gonna be in d.c on saturday kicking some what's his name? Deshawn ass! Lebron James is one of the best players in the nba and yes this is just the beginning of his career he's getting his title this year and many more to come!! So all ya'll haters out there watch how he settles his bussiness on the court!

Posted by: heyheyhey | April 16, 2008 8:28 PM

There is no argument here people...Le Bron James is the best basketball player of our time, including Kobe Bryant as well...enough of the LB bashing, cause it's ridiculous.

Posted by: Baller | April 16, 2008 10:32 PM

I am not a Cavs fan, I'm actually a die-hard Knicks fan but I am from Cleveland....this is ridiculous...I like and respect the Wiz bc i Love Arenas and Jamison but this is just ridiculous from Deshawn...granted supposedly Lebron said somethings about Deshawn to Drew but to start drama by calling LEBRON overrated? COME on thats just laughable! If ANYONE is overrated its DESHAWN STEVENSON the Mcdonalds all american out of high school and is his teams FOURTH BEST PLAYER, on a 5th seed in the EAST! I for one hope Lebron goes out there and owns him like he did the past 2 years. I think that was a really bad move for the wizards...theres certain ppl in sports u dont wanna get upset and lebron is definetely one of them. I feel bad for Coach Jordan.

Posted by: A.C. | April 16, 2008 11:35 PM

Just wait for the playoffs, there will be posters of LeBron dunking over Stevenson. The wizards are going to get their asses handed to them for the 3rd year in a row. Nobody can tell me any wizards player, even arenas, has any room to say anything to any cavs player after they have been knocked out of the playoffs two years running.

Posted by: common sense | April 17, 2008 12:16 AM

i agree that lebron gets picked on way too much he is overrated but he is still and outstanding player one of the top 5 in the league right now but i really respect deshawn for what he's doing by standing up to james especially if it was lebron who started it......and by the way if theres any guard in the league that would be able to dunk on james its deshawn....and wiz win it 4-3, agent zero wit last second shot

Posted by: proffesional | April 17, 2008 1:27 AM

the wizs are a better team than the cavs, thats for real. how ever, there's none like lebron james.he doesnt have any seriously "fancy" moves and his three point range is a bit inconsistent but he's the most dominant player on the court in any game he plays. please deshawn, u can't stunt like lebron

Posted by: ghghgh | April 17, 2008 1:29 PM

A lot of people have been asking who this DeShawn guy is. I'll tell you. He's the guy who got in Lebron's head and shut him down last time they played. He is also the guy who is going to shut him down in the playoffs.

Go Bullets!!

Posted by: PMac | April 17, 2008 1:36 PM

Hey lets not get crazy and remeber what the real deal is $$$$$$.I'm old school 54 yrs and to be considered one of the great ones, first there is logngevity and then its winning the big one.And up to this point LB has not done either!!!But he can put fannies in the sits and thats whats this is all about the NBA MAKING $$$$!!!Until he has rings I agree HE IS OVERATED!!!!

Posted by: eric | April 17, 2008 2:52 PM

Wow...some of you people need to chill out.

I think Stevenson is going to be a non-factor in the series. I was always one to think in order to call someone out in the media...you should be someone in the first place.

LeBron said what he had to say about DeShawn behind closed doors. (Or about as close as you could think) DeShawn brought it out to the media. LeBron isn't going to get into that as he's going to show it off on the court instead of to the press.

This is seriously the most exciting playoffs i've seen in any sports the past few years, so I'm hoping it lives up to the hype.

Posted by: | April 17, 2008 4:49 PM

get out your broom and watch the zards sweep the cavs I mean seriously the cavs have gone mediocre since the trade i mean what twelve wins out of twenty five? They still have no post play because ben wallace doesnt even get 10 rebounds a game. And lebron is pretty good but what is he going to do against caron butler 7/19 shooting? I mean seriously the wizards are well rounded and have an amazing bench at times what do the cavs have lebron? What makes you think hes not going to foul out 1 or 2 games? Who's going to step up Daniel Gibson? wowzers im scared

Posted by: Maurice | April 17, 2008 6:11 PM

now ppl the wizrads may have butler? But see the cavs have lebron now see how kobe had his 81 point game lerbon is about to have a 90 point game and kick deshawns ass! Lebron can take them all. Cavs have an amazing bench gibson yes he will step up make some mad ass 3 pointers so will west and Szczerbiak. You will see the cavs will rise like they have never before. Be prepared to be fooled and watch the cavs come home with victory.

Posted by: lalala | April 17, 2008 7:43 PM

Don't be fooled...It's the Wizards time! They are an extremely strong team even without their big three. Much much much better than the Cavs bench! Add the healthy big three for this year's match up (two of which, Gil and Caron, were injured and not playing in the series last year - by - the - way) and they're unstoppable!!! I feel for ya Cavs as you've YET to face a completely healthy Wizard's team this year and won't even know what hit them at the end of this series. And by the way Gilbert still has something to say pertaining to that series 2x ago. The Cavs might have cry baby king james, but the Wizards are solid throughout with an amazing three! Seriously capable of each scoring 20-30 points a game, two players that love to throw in 3-point daggars, one of the best rookies in the game, the most improved center in the NBA, some amazing up-and-coming players, and finally a solid as steel bench. Don't turn your back for a second Cavs...You'll see...The Wiz Kids are coming for ya and rewriting the rules!

Posted by: Pooka's Lair | April 17, 2008 8:34 PM

Lebron James will shine. You'll be surprised how cleveland will kick ass. See how durant stepped up and seatle won nuggets. Thats how cavs will come alive and beat wizards. If Lebron can take on Kobe Bryant and the Lakers he can beat wizards one handed, blind folded and in his sleep.

Posted by: memoie | April 17, 2008 10:04 PM

Arenas,Jamison and Butler are very awesome basketball players i really admire them. They proved that even without Arenas they can still nail the 5th seed in the playoffs, but i think LeBron is simply too big,too fast, too strong and too intelligent for his age.If Ben,Joe and Andy takes care of the defensive boards Cleveland can give Boston a good run for their money. And we all know LeBron is not afraid of Detroit, remember last year?

Posted by: sacred hoops | April 18, 2008 2:50 AM

YEA WELL MOST OF U GUYS ARE REDICULOUS... LEBRON 90 points... wizards sweep cavs... here's what will happen cavs will beat wizards.. 6 gamsor less... maybe 7! if wizard are lucky... THE COMMISSIONER OUT...

Posted by: THE BALL COMMISSIONER | April 18, 2008 7:33 AM

I think DeShawn has drunk too much d*** HATORADE!!!!!! And for all u bums on here spittin that kobe S**t....go start ur on blog cuz yall some king jame haters too. This is about a bummed out baller named Deshawn whose just happen to make the roster for the wiz kids and King James who is the new face of the NBA.....no contest....kick rocks DeShawn....4-1 Cavs win...Wiz kids have no chance!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Big Tris | April 18, 2008 10:42 AM

Who does deshawn stevenson think he is to call out lebron? Especially right before the playoffs which they will be playing against lebron. Did anybody see the game where lebron was playin against the raptors and bosh's girlfriend called out lebron and he ended up scoring 39 and 24 in the fourth to win 93-90? All I have to say is, "Look out Deshawn!"

Posted by: sun's fan | April 18, 2008 11:20 AM

Tuggin' on Superman's cape? ...that never worked for John Starks or Gerald Wilkins...not even Dominique Wilkins.

Posted by: JBiz | April 18, 2008 11:44 AM

Deshawn, and the rest of you fans who are supporting Deshawn and of course...hating on the King. I hope for Deshawn sake that he can use all of that frustration and pass it on to his teammates because they are going to need it. Bring on Soulja Boy lil boy, big boy or whoever they are going down!

Posted by: Cleveland fan | April 18, 2008 12:38 PM

OH YEAH THOSE ARE CAVS AND OBVIOULSY LEBRON FANS THERE!!! Now Deshawn i mean really how do u call out Lebron before the playoffs??? King James is obvioulsy unpredictable u never know what he will do next apart from that its gonna to be genius and invovle kicking wiz's ass!! So deshawn how many points do u average per game??? last i checked about 4 and how many minutes did u paly about 12. See u dont even average as much points as KEVIN DURANT!! The rookie the awesome rookie! So if u don't know what's good for u i suggest u beta be ready for some real ass whoping!!!! LEBRON JAMES IS AMAZING!!!

Posted by: heywew | April 18, 2008 3:59 PM

In the words of the great Sir Charles, most of you sound like a bunch of "trrbl crazy knuckleheads." Let's be honest, DSteve did no service to himself, the team, or the city Washington by calling out a 6'8", 250 lbs freak of nature on the court. I'd be bitter too if Lebron single-handedly knocked my team out of the playoffs two years in a row. I like the Wizards, they are a good team with some great players. But come on - acting like Lebron is overrated unfortunately is not going to help bring you any closer to the second round. The Wizard fans know all too well that this is obviously not the case. I understand you are just trying to get the most out of your playoff experience since it will be over soon.

Posted by: Charles Barkley | April 18, 2008 5:36 PM

All LeBron has done is lived up to the hype. He is the superstar that he was published as...I guess Deshawn forgot what Rasheed said before he and the Pistons went fishing last year. It has been well documented what happens to those who speak ill of the King...The first serving of this cold dish will begin on Sat @ 12:30 PM. I hope Mr. Stevens is hungry.

Posted by: BloopMonster | April 18, 2008 6:04 PM

For anyone who says Lebron does not belong in the Same Breath as Michael Jordan, you need to go out, buy yourself the NBA League pass and watch him play. Michael Jordan, after 15 seasons, Jordan averaged 30 points a game about 5 assists, 6 boards, and about 2 steals a game. he also averaged 20 shots per game. Lebron James after 5 is averaging 27 points, 7 boards, 7 assists, and about 2 steals per game. Hmmmm room for comparison? I think so. Lebron missed the playoffs in his first and second season. James has never lost in the first round and went to the finals last year as we all know. Can anybody tell me how long it took Mike to get passed the first round?? didnt think so. And Michael Jordan isn't the best ever, theres a 7 foot bigman that played for LA that leads him in just about every statistical category. Does he get any love... not really. And now Mr Stevenson. Less than 11 points, 3 boards and 3 assists. But Lebron James is overrated? Pffft. I remember when this guy was one of the best high school basketball players in the nation back in 00-01, what did he do with the hype, geet drafted by Utah and sit on the bench. now on his thrid team he has finnaly reached his biggest contract of 15 mil over four years. Lebron gets more than from Sprite in a year. Yeah sure hes a G for callin him out and all that, but how can you mention that another man makes more than you doing the same thing you do, and not be hatin. Pleas. Deshawn new nickname gonna be scarecrow. he need to go see "the wiz" for some brain, so he will be able to realize that he is outside his lane in saying Lebron is Overrated. And for those of you who criticize Lebron because everything goes through him, you do the same for Kobe, but he's gonna be the MVP, Steve Nash, Shaq, Karl Malone, Barkley, Magic... should I go on? All the greats always had the ball, thats what makes them great. So does Bron Bron belong in the same breath as Jordan? Sh1t, I dont know why I wasted my time typing this. Deshawn Stevenson calling out Lebron? Lebron not great? You seen what he did when Chris Bosh's girl was clowning him in Toronto.

Posted by: U0fLn09 | April 18, 2008 8:47 PM

Wow you guys r just all Haters.

Cavs r playin wizards again for the 3rd straight year. Cavs won the 1st 2 times...
:\ Wouldnt be suprised if they got SWEPT AGAIN. all u wizards fans should go die.
Your team sucks and allways will SUCK.

Posted by: #1 LeBron Fan | April 18, 2008 9:09 PM

F**K all you LBJ haterz

Cavs roll the sorry a$$ wizards again in 6 this year and Gilbert Signs to the Cavs this off Season as even more of a slap in the face of wiz fans

LBJ for President 2036

Posted by: East 99th n da Clair | April 19, 2008 9:54 AM

DeShawn is the new agent zero. He got outscored 32 to 3 by lebron. Lebron lit him and the glibbards up.

Brenda Haywood has a baby and it is DeShawn.

Posted by: Brenda Haywood | April 19, 2008 5:05 PM

so yea... cavs win the first..

and it will be the series as well

maybe lebron and deshawn are both wrong for the smack talk.. who cares.. all that matters is that cavs will wreck them

wizards.. il laugh if we knock you out this year... and next too.. hahahahahahahha

Posted by: thats what i thought | April 19, 2008 5:53 PM

who do these people think they are.. some of these comments are insane

lebron is the best if not second best in the leauge..

I hate how some of these people sit here and ACT like they know so much about basketball and say lebron is overrated.. its like your lying to yourself ...saying he isnt good and thinking to yourself you know basketball better than everyone else because everyone else is saying lebron is amaizng.. he is amazing.. lebron overated? what a joke.. and to say the only reason he has good stats is because the ball is always in his hand.. BS.. lebron will be a main playmaker of any team he will ever be on.. if hes not that good... then why does every team in the NBA worry about him?? double coverage?? come on now

Posted by: dude | April 19, 2008 6:11 PM

So much for overatted Deshawn? he had 3 points and before he got that 3 pointer he had to struggle to shot like 5 times?? Last i checked Cleveland won and Lebron had 32 points huh? Now Lebron is awesome why won't ya'll haters get it? U can't stop him! He's Lebron James!

Posted by: welllll | April 20, 2008 2:04 PM

i cant c how the wiz dont win this one.... they got their big three this year and they got a deep bench...they need brendan and deshawn to play d...and deshawn needs to shut up and play basketball... the last thing the wiz need is him and that small animal growing on his chin to b talkin trash to LEBRON JAMES

Posted by: back4more | April 20, 2008 7:41 PM

wow lebron james is all garbage
hear his new quote?
something along the lines of
"If im on the court we'll be alright"
i mean what kinda obnoxious player is lebron if he says this kinda crap

even if he is good (and i admit hes good) he doesnt and will never deserve the MVP

DESHAWN STEVENSOON ALL DA WAY

Posted by: LeBron Hater Groupie | April 20, 2008 8:46 PM

This is hilarious. LeBron and the Cavs own your asses. Be careful what you wish for--you want Cleveland, you got them, and it's going to be yet another early round exit for the Bullards! Oh and you're going to hate the Cavs even more when Agent Zero opts out and goes to Cleveland, teaming up with LeBron to win the several titles.

LEBRON deserves the mvp are u kidding moi???? hes saying the truth i mean cavs without Lebron aren't that great i mean??? Well I'm in to watch cavs win again!!! Deshawn has nothing say no skills on the court so he better stop running his dirty mouth!!!

Posted by: moieeeeeeee | April 21, 2008 10:39 AM

whoever said said washington is in canada is probably living in cuba
both players have something in common - no title. They need to grow up, still behaving like high school kids. This series btw the 2 teams is not gonna square things out cos it involves more than 20 player and coaches and the crowd as well. They can likely take it out of the court where they're both nothing

In about 3 more games, DeShawn can do all the "hand in the face" that he wants while he's ordering a beer and watching the cavs and their overrated superstar play on. I've never seen somebody be some embarrassed and outclassed and still not have the conscious to realize it.

Posted by: Wilbon | April 23, 2008 12:42 AM

After 2 games, where is Mr. Stevenson?...
It's all Bron-Bron if you ask me. The young man is well on his way to legendary status
and we are all fortunate to witness his exploits on the hardcourt. let's all seat back and relax just like we all did with MJ. Lebron will give us a show for the ages.

Posted by: Sacred Hoops | April 23, 2008 1:50 AM

This is what happens when you put large amouts of money in someones hand when they have never had anything before. DESHAWN STEVENSON. I AM GLAD YOU MADE IT TO THE NBA BUT WORK ON YOUR JUMPER HOMIE AND STOP WITH ALL THIS OTHER BS

Posted by: jaytee | April 23, 2008 2:15 PM

The two best players in the league today are Kobe and LeBron. Okay lets examine: Kobe has been one of the best for a long time and he is a VETERAN. No one in this league would willing guard Kobe if they didn't have to. By far, he is on another plateau. Take the Heat's situation for example; if you put Kobe on that team, they would automatically be in the playoffs, and one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
Same goes for LeBron: if you take him off of the Cavaliers, then yes, they more than likely would not make it to the playoffs in a weak conference this year. If you put him on a weak Miami team, they would be in the same position as the Cavs are in the playoffs, beating up on Washington.
After 2 games, it's all LeBron. Deshawn, you were 1 of 9 in Game 1; who is overrated? One of my main questions is, if LeBron is overrated, why haven't you put some REAL defense up on him yet. I watched the highlights from Game 2, and remember you trying to guard him up beyond the 3, but when he started to go to work on you, you flopped out the way. Why? LeBron is overrated right? You should've stole the ball and started on your own highlight reel. Keyword (started), cause you have no highlights in the league. You're not a franchise player. The Wizards will trade you away quickly, and I wouldn't be surprised if they put you on the trading block at the start of next season. LeBron may not be Jay Z, but you are Soulja Boy. YOU SUCK HARD!!!!!
Anybody that thinks LeBron is overrated might as well wipe Boo boo on my forehead. Cavs might sweep, if not Game 5.

DeShawn Stevenson is a tool. Maybe he should save all the hating for the good players on his team. Because he isn't one of them.

Posted by: O-H- | April 27, 2008 12:37 PM

Nice who saw that win today???? Lerbon 32 points overatted???? sure no i don't think so!!! Nice 3 pointer by Dleonte west huh where was deshawn to tie it and make the 3 pointer to take it overtime obviously that wasn't gonna happen cuz baby clevland is in to win this!!! Did u see all those 3's by gibson, Lebron nd west?? And they said cavs don't have s srtong bench??? Deshawn should stop hating and try an dimprove hisself cuz he sucks i mean it Lebron is making his story soo!!! Well it's good!!! Lebron James still rules!!!

Posted by: woooow | April 27, 2008 4:14 PM

Deshawn Stevenson is a complete idiot. If i were a Wiz fan i would be pissed off about everything he is saying about Lebron. Hes just pissing Lebron off which makes him play better. People who say Lebron hasnt done anything in this league is amazingly stupid. Hes the fastest player to 10000 points. He won the scoring title this year. He SINGLE handedly brought his team to the finals last year. I dont care if the West is a better conference, he still brought his team to the finals. By stating how bad the Cavs are without Lebron, you're just making a case for how damn good Lebron actually is. How can you solely base how great a player is by how many titles they win. It's ridiculous. No matter how great the player is, he still has to have some consistency from his supporting cast. Titles are the ultimate prize, but they're not the ultimate judging tool.

Posted by: cavs | April 27, 2008 10:09 PM

Stevenson is a hater.I'm a fan of Lebron James and Lebron has every right to say what he wants to to because he can back it up on the court. But Stevenson can't.And Lebron doesn't need to copy Stevenson's beard thats dumb what Stevenson said.Lebron is Lebron and Lebron is going to be Lebron.

Posted by: Kristina | April 28, 2008 1:31 PM

Lebron fan here always was and forever will be. Um deshawn is um an idiot how long has he been in the nba 7? How much has he achived?? Exactly nothing! Now Lebron hmm he has been here 4 years and exactly so look at all he has acomplished beleive me this is the beginning of his career he's making history!!!! Mark my words!! Today is gonna be awesome!!!
