Caps Talk Game 7: The Video
Some video comments from the Caps dressing room about playing in Game Sevens. A few introductory remarks:
1) This video does not lie; it was quiet, reserved, bordering on morose in the Caps room last night. I suppose that's because Bruce Boudreau told the boys they had five minutes to enjoy the win, and we arrived well after the five-minute window had elapsed. If that's what they look like after a win, I don't want to see a loss.
2) In addition to all their playoff newbies, the Caps have a surprising number of vets who have never seen a Game 7. Tom Poti? Five seasons in the playoffs, no Game Sevens. Viktor Kozlov? Four seasons in the playoffs, no Game Sevens. Cristobal Huet? No Game Sevens. There are some grizzled sevenish vets--Matt Cooke, for example, played in three in two years when he was with the Canucks--but not very many.
3) Man, I'm sorry about the video quality here. One wrong button and everything goes to seed. I'll do better tonight.
