Lisa Leslie Goes Obama
Don't accuse the U.S. women's basketball team of shying away from politics in the run-up to the Olympics. Lisa Leslie came to her media session yesterday wearing a jacket with an Obama for President button. She said she bought it for her mom, "because we're in Chicago, and they're on sale. I don't see them in L.A."
She said she hadn't had a chance to drop it off to her mom, which is why it was on her jacket, but that didn't mean she had to wear it during her media session. I was (pleasantly) shocked no one asked her to take the jacket off. She's also donated to his campaign, like dozens of other high-profile athletes.
"I'm a Barack fan, put it out there," she said. "I like Obama. I'm for him. Vote Obama: The people's choice."

Oh! Well, now I know who to vote for. Thanks, Lisa Leslie! May all of America come to be as enlightened as myself after that very relevant endorsement. (By the way, does nobody see the irony in "the people's choice?" They are only going to play in the Olympics in The People's Republic of China.)
As for "StetSports.com's" suggestion of "Yes We Can" as an WNBA slogan...
I think the correct formulation is, "Si, se puede."

Does this mean the WNBA's slogan for next season is "Yes We Can?"
