Cooley's Wedding Approaches

And thankfully, with the wedding still two days away, he's already blogging about the seating arrangement. Personally, I'd keep Smoot away from the gravy boat, but that's just me. From Cooley's latest at Shutdown Corner, in which he gets all mushy about his bride-to-be:

From the moment Christy said "yes" the plans began. I have to admit I haven't been the most avid planning participant, but one thing I was put in charge of was the seating. I'll say this: It should at least be an interesting night. I've had calls from numerous wedding guests, most recently Dan Snyder's assistant asking what table they could find their seats. Obviously my easiest seating solution, anywhere you can find a chair. I'm not trying to stick Dan with my drunken uncle, but drawing up all those name tags was way over my head.

I'm hoping for a huge night on Friday. We've paid for two open bars, and invited nothing short of an Animal House cast of characters. Although I hope Clinton's friends -- Southeast Jerome and co. - don't crash the party.

Um, first of all, that's "Mr. Snyder" to you young man. Second of all, I would gladly sell 73 percent of my soul for video of Portis, Todd Yoder and Mr. Snyder conspiring to lift Christy and Cooley on chairs when the band plays Hava Nagila. They do play that tune at weddings featuring NFL players from Utah who hang out at West Virginia strip clubs, right?

Dan, ask Cooley what he read for his Haftorah portion at his Bar Mitzvah on the next Blog Show.

Yes, the Hava Nagila will commence after the Electric Slide and the Macarena conclude.

is zorn invited? and if so, I can only imagine he'd be wearing a canary-yellow tux and top hat.
