Although the cervical cancer vaccine may help many people. Traditionally, the state mandates (via school or athletic enrollment) vaccines that could prevent casual contact diseases such as the mumps (MMR). Presumably, to protect students from others students with serious viral infections. I am concerned about the notion of legally requiring medical treatments, such as vaccines, for non-casual contact diseases. No one goes to school and catches cervical cancer from normal school behaviors.
