Doug Feaver was a Washington Post reporter and editor for 29 years and had assignments on the Business, Metro and National desks. He then spent seven more years at washingtonpost.com, where he was executive editor. He retired in 2005. As a reporter he specialized in transportation subjects, including the Washington Metro system, aviation safety and highway planning and construction.
