Meeting On Field Lighting Nov. 17
The county Park Authority is planning to hold a public meeting
Nov. 17 at W.T. Woodson High School to present the results of a
consultant's report on athletic-field lighting in Fairfax County.
The report, and public reaction to it, will be used to develop
specifications and guidelines for athletic-field lighting. It will also
be used to address concerns of park neighbors, create cheaper lighting
systems and identify the latest technology to reduce glare and spill
from lighting systems.
County parks officials have
not endorsed or rejected any part of the consultant's report. They are
waiting to hear from the public.

available for review at the Fairfax County Park Authority, 12055
Government Center Pkwy., Suite 421, Fairfax, or at the Park Authority's
Web site, http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/fieldlighting.htm .

Comments
on the report will be accepted for 30 days after the meeting. The
public comment period will close Dec. 19. Written comments should be
