Note From the Editor
Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerald E. Connolly (D) did NOT post a blog item today about the planned changes on Route 7 (Leesburg Pike). The post has been deleted. If you happened to read it, the post was a failed attempt at humor. Please respect the integrity of the blog and refrain from posting bogus items. Thank you.

I agree totally. I saw it for the joke it was, but thought it should be pulled. This is a great forum for an honest exchange of ideas. Let's keep it that way. Maybe Gerry Connelly and the Supervisors really do read the blogs and take away some good ideas as well as a barometer of how people are feeling. I understand some people are very angry, but let's not libel others. Our good ideas will lose credibility if we get too off-base.

Ditto. Let's keep the discussions respectful. I'm far more interested in what the "real" Chairman has to say than in what a prankster pretending to be him has to say. When people disagree respectfully, they are far more open to hearing each others' view points. We should all be mindful of that.

Good catch. We want to know what Gerry Connolly has to say, but not what an impostor would have him say. While online names are fine for blogging, we should not use other people's names.
