Get Road Updates By E-Mail
From today's Metro section:
Motorists stuck in traffic can get real-time e-mail updates about road conditions from the Virginia Department of Transportation, the agency announced yesterday.
The e-mail alerts are part of the state's 511 travel service, which provides up-to-the-minute information on weather conditions, road construction and traffic incidents as well as on lodging, food and gas. Drivers can sign up for the free service by going to http://www.511Virginia.org .
