Vietnamese Mother of Slain U.S. Marine Seeks Residency

Binh Le, a U.S. Marine corporal, a graduate of Edison High School and a Vietnamese citizen, died in 2004 while serving in Iraq. Posthumously, he was awarded U.S. citizenship. His mother, Kim-Hoan Thi Nguyen,  now staying in Springfield with a friend, wants to lay flowers on her son's grave at Arlington National Cemetery each week, but her applications for permanent residency have been denied.
