At Average Age 81, Miles to Go...

Six runners gather each month in Springfield for a lunch meeting to discuss races for which they are diligently training. Their average age is 81. Collectively they bring nearly half a millennium of experience to the footpaths. Read about them here.

Thanks, Jim, for writing this article! I admit I am a fan of these gentlemen. Walt has continued to achieve finish times that many people half his age or even younger would love to get. I am in awe of Walt as an athlete. He means business when he trains and it shows when his name pops up in course records and in national running publications.
