Huntington Area Hit Hard by Flooding
Rising water and raw sewage has damaged more than half the 311 homes in the Huntington area of Fairfax County and will keep residents displaced until repairs can be made. Today's Metro section gives a glimpse of what the past few days have been like for the Grimes family and the uphill climb they face. Rodney Grimes and his family, who lived on Fenwick Drive, spent yesterday morning picking through what remained of their salvageable belongings.

Maybe the Post should ask County Supervisor Dana Kaufmann and the Fairfax County Stormwater Managment Director, Mr Sinclair, why Fairfax County is putting steel covers on the dry pond outlets that prevent water from flowing during storms. Perhaps they can explain the flooding problem increase from these decisions that are costing taxpayers dearly, only to see increased flooding. I'd be happy to show the Post exactly what the problem is... somebody in the media is missing a big story here... The recent floods in Fairfax County are partly manmade by the government.
