So just when will the final piece of the Fairfax County Parkway, the section that runs through Fort Belvoir, be finished? Not until the U.S. Army and the Commonwealth of Virginia can decide who will pay for it. Read the news story here.

actually, as Tim Dwyer's article clearly states, the final piece of the parkway is paid for - the state has nearlu $90M set aside specifically for this project. The issue is who will build the road. The Army has spent more than $14M to date on clean up, and the site - save for one remaining parcel - is clean, and construction could begin tomorrow. But, as Tim's article also makes clear, the lawyers are working the issue now.
