Area Development Leads To Flooding of McLean House

At Carolyn Arafat's house on Meadowbrook Ave. in McLean, intensive "infill" development in the neighborhood is being blamed as the primary culprit for the regular flooding the family has experienced inside their house recently. Today's Fairfax Extra tells the tale.

Perhaps sue the builder, the homeowners, and the County? Maybe they'll think more about what they build, buy and approve next time. We cannot keep cramming houses into every free space without regard to natural drainage. The builder and the homeowners should have to correct problems with their property and the County ought to help. After all, the County let this happen.
