McConnell Makes It Official: She's Not Running. So....

Springfield District Supervisor Elaine N. McConnell's (R) official announcement on Sunday that she would not seek reelection prompted this article in today's paper which takes a look at how the field of candidates is shaping up with regard to this fall's election. Two seats are now open with incumbents McConnell and T. Dana Kauffman (D-Lee) opting not to run. Gerald D. Hyland (D-Mount Vernon) is still weighing his decision.

I am glad that Pat Herrity is running in Springfield and I hope he wins the Republican primary there. It sounds like it will be an interesting Democratic primary in Providence, as well!
