Signing Off From CES
LAS VEGAS--Another CES is in the books. It's been fun drinking from this firehose of technological goodness, but now it's time to close the laptop, take the business cards out of my shirt pocket and stop wearing the CES badge holder everywhere I go.
It's been fun. It's been real. And now it's time to catch up on sleep before the other big trade show of every January, Apple's Macworld Expo. You can expect another flurry of blog posts here soon, but with a San Francisco dateline.
Meanwhile, if there's anything you wanted to know about CES that I didn't get to, post a comment and I'll try to answer that question here tomorrow.

Aren't you staying for the adult Video awards. Should be a lot more fun than CES and we really want to see those pixs.

I thought it was traditional in leading newspapers to let readers know what initials mean when they're used in articles, and I presume, journalistic blogs. So for those of us who are not "cool guys" and "in people" such as you and most of your blog readers presumably are, what in the h*** does "CES" stand for?

Gregory, I don't think that CES is "initials". Once it was probably something like the "Consumer Electronics Show" but now it's a registered trademark in its own right. It's not called anything other than CES. (cesweb.org)

I have a question: Where's my burrito? Of course, you may not be able to answer it.

As a Realtor, I save a lot of time through portable computing. I've been anticipating the arrival of the HTC Shift for months and months and months, and it looks like it may be a few more months before it arrives in the U.S. Were there any UMPCs displayed at CES that will outperform the Shift?

Seem we just get started then before we know it comes the time we come to say so long!

There was a lot of great "Green Tech" at CES this year. I was really impressed. Of course, even if you don't have green tech, you can green up your old tech by disposing of it properly!
