Metro Will Open at 5 a.m. Sunday

On Sunday, Metro will open two hours early at 5 a.m. for the Cherry Blossom 10-mile race and 5K run/walk.

The 10-mile race begins at 7:50 a.m., and runners will start and finish near the Washington Monument. The 5K run/walk starts at 8:50 a.m., and participants will start and finish just down the street from the Washington Monument. The closest Metro station to the courses is Smithsonian Memorial on the Blue and Orange lines.
